Senior Mechanical Engineer – Life Science Projects

Job-Link is currently looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer for a long-term project assignment within the pharmaceutical industry. We are looking for a senior profile who can combine strong mechanical engineering skills with project leadership, coordination and a hands-on approach to getting things done. You will work in a multidisciplinary project environment and take responsibility for mechanical activities across different phases of the project. The role requires both technical depth and the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders. Your responsibilities Your tasks will vary depending on the project phase and your specific experience, but will typically include:

• Taking technical ownership of mechanical work packages and deliverables
• Coordinating mechanical activities across disciplines and project stakeholders
• Developing and reviewing technical solutions, specifications and documentation
• Following equipment and installations from design through execution and commissioning
• Supporting procurement and working closely with suppliers and contractors
• Following up on quality, progress and technical issues during project execution
• Participating in testing, handover and commissioning activities
• Identifying challenges early and helping drive practical solutions
• Delegating and following up on tasks when relevant
• Contributing to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing within the project team

Your background You have a relevant technical education, for example within Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering or a similar field, combined with solid professional experience. We expect that you have:

• Several years of experience within mechanical engineering
• Experience from pharma, life science or another process-driven industry
• A strong understanding of mechanical equipment, installations and piping systems
• Experience working in multidisciplinary engineering projects
• Experience dealing with suppliers, contractors and technical stakeholders
• Previous responsibility for coordinating or leading activities within a project

Experience from larger construction, installation or commissioning projects will be an advantage. The senior profile we are looking for For this role, technical knowledge alone is not enough.
