Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

S : Gothenburg, Sweden (F) : Senior Engineer – Customer Adaptation : 100% (Full-time) : 2 Deadline: 15 November 2026 Start: ASAP We are looking for experienced mechanical engineers to develop tailored technical solutions for truck customer requirements. You will assess the feasibility of non-standard technical combinations across the chassis area and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams. - Investigate and evaluate the technical feasibility of customer-specific solutions

• Design mechanical solutions using CAD when required
• Release and introduce new parts to support customer adaptations
• Collaborate with chassis engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing teams
• Contribute to technical analysis, problem-solving, and continuous improvement

&

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of automotive industry experience
• Hands-on experience with CREO and KOLA or relevant Volvo engineering systems
• Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills
• Proactive mindset, good communication, and teamwork skills

• Customer adaptation and customized vehicle solutions
