We are now looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join Lassila & Tikanoja. In this role, you will join a compact legal team of two lawyers and support the business with a wide range of legal matters. The position is full-time and permanent. Lassila & Tikanoja's office is located in Helsinki, Pitäjänmäki and you have the opportunity to work remotely in accordance with the company's hybrid working policy.

In this role, you will support the business in negotiating various types of commercial agreements, advice in public tendering processes and support the business in compliance topics, including privacy, by developing instructions, trainings and monitoring. You will also support and advice in questions related to corporate governance, claims, disputes and M&A. You will act as a trusted legal advisor to the business, providing practical, solution-oriented guidance and helping the company navigate legal matters with confidence.

We are looking for a lawyer with:

• A Finnish master's degree in law and at least five years of relevant post-graduate experience (however this is just the minimum requirement, and the role has plenty to offer a more senior lawyer as well) preferably from an in-house legal position or from a law firm or legal consultancy setting.

• A solid background in drafting and negotiating various types of commercial contracts. Prior experience in giving business support in public tendering processes, M&A projects, disputes, compliance, governance, privacy, and/or environmental legal topics are considered as an advanatage.

• A proactive, resilient, and can-do attitude – you are not afraid to roll up your sleeves, take initiative, and get things done.

• A solution-oriented mindset and competence to prioritize assignments - you can give concrete, clear and actionable advice and you are able to adapt to pressure and short deadlines. As a member of a compact legal team, you are expected to work proactively and independently when supporting your key business stakeholders.

• Strong communication skills – fluency in Finnish and English (both written and spoken) is required.
