Senior / Lead Subsea Pipeline Engineer

Wood is looking for an experienced Senior or Lead Subsea Pipeline Engineer to join our team in Norway. We have subsea hub offices in Stavanger and Oslo. You'll become part of a team of close to 60 engineers in Norway and work closely with colleagues across the region. We support projects within oil and gas and energy transition, from early studies through detailed engineering, execution and operation. The role is based in Norway, and applicants must currently live and work in Norway. Your role In this role, you'll contribute to the delivery of subsea pipeline solutions for a range of clients and projects. Wood is currently executing some of the most challenging pipeline projects on the Norwegian shelf, including HPHT, deep water, uneven seabeds, and large diameter export infrastructure. Your responsibilities will typically include:

• Providing pipeline expertise to project and operations teams, with DNV standards typically governing our work.
• Performing pipeline design activities in close collaboration with SPS, Subsea Structures and Systems disciplines.
• Supporting and mentoring junior subsea pipeline engineers.
• Contributing to project risk workshops and design reviews, identifying and following up risks, opportunities and associated actions.

Is this you? You're an experienced and proactive subsea pipeline engineer who enjoys taking ownership, solving technical challenges and working closely with clients and colleagues to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. You have a relevant engineering degree, solid experience within subsea pipeline engineering and a good understanding of DNV standards. Previous experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf is strongly preferred. Experience in some or all of the following areas is required: mechanical design, wall thickness and coatings, freespans, buckling, pipe-soil interaction, installation engineering, and pipeline protection. Experience with ANSYS, ABAQUS, OrcaFlex, Navimodel or similar tools is important. Why join Wood?
