Senior IT Project Manager - Risk Modelling Technology

Senior IT Project Manager / Theme Integrator (2 Positions) Lead strategic technology transformations within the Risk & Compliance Tribe About the role We are looking for two experienced Senior IT Project Managers to join the Risk Modelling Technology team within Danske Bank's Risk & Compliance Tribe . A Tribe is a technology department within Danske Bank responsible for developing and delivering technology capabilities for a specific business domain. The Risk & Compliance Tribe develops and maintains technology solutions that support the bank's risk management and regulatory processes. Working closely with business, risk and technology stakeholders, we deliver critical capabilities that help the bank meet regulatory requirements while modernising the bank's risk infrastructure. You will join a technology organisation operating at the intersection of business, risk and IT, working with architects, developers, product owners, business stakeholders and senior leadership to deliver some of the bank's most critical transformation initiatives. These are not project coordinator positions. We are looking for experienced project managers who can independently drive complex technology programmes from planning through implementation. Successful candidates will be allocated to one of two strategic programmes following the interview process.

1. IRB Model Implementation

Lead the technical implementation of Internal Ratings Based (IRB) models across business and technology teams, ensuring successful delivery of complex regulatory initiatives.

1. New Financial Analysis & Rating Platform

Lead the implementation of a new Financial Analysis and Rating System, driving alignment across business stakeholders, architects, delivery teams and external partners. While the subject matter differs, both roles require strong delivery leadership, stakeholder management and execution excellence. What you will be doing You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of large, cross-functional technology projects involving multiple teams, business units and stakeholders across the organisation. Success in this role requires someone who can build and drive project plans, manage risks and dependencies, maintain a detailed understanding of project status, and ensure leadership has the information required to make timely decisions. You will: - Build, maintain and drive detailed project plans - Own project governance, reporting and delivery oversight - Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, dependencies and actions - Drive alignment across business, risk and technology stakeholders - Challenge assumptions and ensure difficult decisions are addressed early - Track progress against milestones, timelines and commitments - Assess the impact of changes and delays across interconnected workstreams - Prepare executive reporting, steering committee materials and decision proposals - Follow through on actions and hold stakeholders accountable for commitments - Create clarity and structure in complex environments where priorities and ownership are not always clear - Ask the right questions to uncover risks, dependencies and delivery challenges before they become issues About You You are an experienced Project Manager who thrives in complex environments with many moving parts. You enjoy understanding how everything fits together and are equally comfortable discussing strategic direction with senior leaders and delivery details with project teams. You are the person who always knows: - Where the project stands - Which milestones are at risk - What the key dependencies are - Which decisions are needed - What is blocking progress - Who needs to be involved to resolve an issue - Most importantly, you turn that knowledge into action. We expect that you have: - 5+ years of experience leading complex projects, programmes or transformations, preferably within technology - Strong project planning, governance and reporting capabilities - Proven experience managing stakeholders across business and technology organisations - Experience managing risks, dependencies, scope, timelines and delivery commitments - Ability to influence and drive progress without direct authority - Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities - Experience navigating ambiguity and operating effectively in rapidly changing environments - Hands-on experience using Jira, Confluence, PowerPoint and similar delivery tools Experience from financial services, risk management, regulatory programmes or large-scale technology transformations will be considered an advantage.
