Senior Instrumentation & Automation Engineer

For one of our clients, we are looking for a Senior Instrumentation & Automation Engineer 28539 with solid experience in instrumentation and automation engineering for multidisciplinary industrial projects. The position is based in the Oslo area, with expected start-up in December 2026 / January 2027 and an initial assignment of approximately 12 months. Job responsibilities:

• Instrumentation and automation engineering for multidisciplinary projects
• Preparation of Instrument Indexes, I/O Lists, Instrument Data Sheets, technical requisitions and specifications
• Preparation and review of Instrument Hook-up Drawings, Loop Diagrams, Wiring Diagrams and installation details
• Development of Control Philosophies, Functional Design Specifications (FDS), Cause & Effect Diagrams and Control Narratives
• Design and engineering of DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD and SIS systems
• Instrument sizing calculations for control valves, flow elements, relief devices and measurement systems
• Participation in HAZOP, SIL studies, Functional Safety Assessments and Risk Reviews
• Technical bid evaluations, vendor document reviews and supplier coordination
• Support for FAT, SAT, commissioning and start-up

Your experience and qualifications:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Norwegian or Swedish language skills will be prioritised. Fluent English is required.
• Due to the expected start-up, candidates who already have the right to work in Norway will be prioritised.
