Senior Group Financial Controller - Hoist Finance

For further information please visit; hoistfinance.com About the role As Senior Group Financial Controller, you play an important role within Group Accounting, a function within Group Finance, supporting the Group Finance function in financial reporting, consolidation and accounting at group level. You will take part in quarterly and annual reporting under IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements, while playing a central role in the group's reporting processes. You will be responsible for the preparation of notes, text and disclosures for a significant part of the interim and annual reports. In addition, you will contribute to the development of the group's reporting and consolidation processes and systems. In addition, this role includes contributing to the Group’s hedge accounting framework, including ongoing development, analysis, and application of hedge accounting in accordance with IFRS 9. Given the strong growth, it is essential that accounting matters are addressed at an early stage in connection with portfolio acquisitions, new financing solutions, and other changes and business issues. In addition to having many international points of contact, you will also collaborate with our other support functions in Sweden, such as Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Tax, and Internal Audit, as well as with our external auditors. Main responsibilities:

• Play a key role in the Group’s monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Draft and compile required disclosures and collaboration with various stakeholders contributing to different sections of interim and annual reports.
• Own the development, maintenance, and production of the Hoist Finance Factbook, ensuring the delivery of accurate and relevant information.
• Review and analyse financial reporting in close dialogue with Treasury and Business Control.
• Prepare the Group’s and parent company’s hedge accounting in close collaboration with Treasury.
• Carry out impairment tests on Group goodwill.
• Identify automation opportunities and process improvements within reporting and consolidation.
• Support the continuous development and improvement of financial reporting, consolidation, and closing processes, strengthening controls, increasing efficiency, and enhancing data quality.

Who are you? You can work independently and take ownership of complex accounting, reporting, and IFRS-related matters, while collaborating effectively with Finance, Treasury, Business Control, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

• At least 10 years of experience in accounting or auditing.
• Excellent Swedish and English skills, both spoken and written.
• Knowledge of IFRS combined with experience in hedge accounting and IFRS 9.
• Ability to analyse and interpret complex financial information, assess accounting implications, identify trends and risks, and translate detailed findings into meaningful insights for management and stakeholders.
• Use advanced Excel skills to analyse large datasets, perform reconciliations, review financial information, support impairment testing, and develop efficient reporting and analytical tools.
• Strong interest in systems, technology, and process improvement.
• The ability to work independently while also being a team player.
