Place of work: Hellerup Deadline: 22. november 2026 Great analytics only matter when people can put them to use. This is where software engineering meets commercial shipping. At NORDEN, data and technology are increasingly part of how we make decisions across our shipping business. But an analytical idea only creates value when it becomes something people can actually use. As our new Senior Full-Stack Engineer in Chartering Analytics, you will help make that happen. You will build data products and tools used by our chartering teams to make smarter commercial decisions, taking them all the way from idea to production. And because this is a senior role, you will not only build products yourself. You will also help create the frameworks and tooling that make it easier for others to do the same. Why this role? Because you get to build things that make it beyond the demo. You will join a team of six Data Scientists and AI Engineers with backgrounds in mathematics, statistics and computer science. Together, you will work closely with our commercial chartering teams, understanding what they need and turning it into products they can use in their day-to-day decision-making. You will own what you build end-to-end, from development and deployment to running it in production. And you will help us improve how we develop further, including through agentic and AI-native development. Our applications are built with FastAPI and Next.js, with Azure as our cloud platform and GitHub and GitHub Copilot supporting how we develop. The way we work is built around trust, feedback and collaboration, with room to experiment, rethink how things are done and, importantly, keep a sense of humour along the way. What you will be doing You will take analytical ideas from concept to production, creating tools our chartering teams can use every day directly affecting our results. More specifically you will:

  • Build full-stack data products and tools that support our chartering teams in making commercial decisions.
  • Be responsible for end-to-end work, from development and deployment to operating and improving applications in production.
  • Build backend services and APIs in Python and FastAPI and frontend applications using Next.js.
  • Develop shared frameworks, tooling and platform components that help other teams move from idea to production faster.
  • Use and advance agentic and AI-native development as part of how we build software.
  • Strengthen our engineering practices across testing, CI/CD, version control, containerisation and observability.
  • Work closely with Data Scientists, AI Engineers and commercial colleagues to turn analytical ideas into products that deliver real value.

What you bring You value high-quality engineering, and you are equally focused on the function the software fulfills. You think practically, focus on commercial value and are comfortable sharing ideas and challenging how things are done. You bring:

  • Solid software development experience with a focus on building maintainable applications.
  • Experience in deploying, operating and owning applications in production.
  • Deep Python and software engineering skills, including testing, CI/CD, version control, containerisation and observability.
  • Experience across both frontend and backend development.
  • Experience with agentic development and an interest in pushing AI-native development further.
  • An interest in building shared tooling and components that make other engineers and teams faster.

What matters just as much is how you work. You enjoy collaborating with people with very different perspectives, from Data Scientists and AI Engineers to colleagues working commercially with shipping every day. You build with the end user in mind and would rather see something useful running in production than leave a great idea sitting as a proof of concept. Application Please upload your motivation letter, resume and relevant diplomas via our website as soon as possible and no later than 22 November 2026. Your motivation letter helps us understand what drives you, why you are interested in the role, and how your skills and experiences could contribute to the team. We are especially interested in your motivation and transferable skills, not a recap of your CV. It is your opportunity to tell us the story behind your application. We review and interview candidates on an ongoing basis. We will do our best to get back to you at least within ten working days after the application deadline, 22 November 2026. In NORDEN we value a range of perspectives, educational backgrounds and professional experience and encourages all qualified candidates to apply. Were you missing anything in this job ad?
