Find out more on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=baa_aiJ4L7E What you’ll do: The primary function of the Senior Firmware Test Engineer is to ensure the quality and reliability of MVSST embedded firmware through hands‑on implementation and execution of automated test solutions. The role focuses on developing and maintaining firmware test automation, executing system‑level verification, and supporting CI/CD testing in close collaboration with firmware, system, and hardware teams.

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated firmware tests for MVSST product lines.
  • Contribute to firmware test planning, including creation and execution of structured test plans for product features.
  • Implement test solutions to verify system, power, and product requirements based on defined test strategies.
  • Execute firmware testing activities and contribute technical input to functional and design reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Implement and maintain firmware tests as part of CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and early defect detection.
  • Analyze test results, investigate failures, and perform root cause analysis together with firmware and system engineers.
  • Document test implementations, results, and releases in accordance with company quality and compliance processes.
  • Act as a subject‑matter expert in firmware testing within the project team, supporting day‑to‑day technical discussions and decisions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices by applying modern embedded software testing tools and methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • University degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong relevant industry experience

Skills:

  • Strong hands‑on experience in firmware test design and test infrastructure development for complex embedded systems.
  • Hands‑on experience developing automated test solutions using frameworks such as Robot Framework and Python.
  • Experience applying test‑driven development or similar quality‑focused development approaches.
  • Solid knowledge of version control systems (Git).
  • Experience implementing automated tests as part of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills for embedded and system‑level issues.
  • Experience with embedded software development or testing using C/C++ and Python.
  • Practical experience using laboratory equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters).
  • Ability to work safely in a high‑voltage laboratory environment.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments (e.g. Scrum).
  • Self‑driven, detail‑oriented team player with strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Fluent written and spoken English
