Senior Firewall & Security Consultant Work Location: Denmark Employment Type: Full-Time Work Arrangement: In-Person / Hybrid Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Firewall & Security Consultant to support enterprise customers with network security, firewall projects, security assessments, troubleshooting, and infrastructure optimization. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with enterprise firewall technologies, network security, and complex network environments. The successful candidate should be comfortable working directly with customers and taking ownership of technical assignments throughout the implementation and support lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, implement, and troubleshoot enterprise firewall solutions.
• Review and optimize firewall policies, rules, NAT, objects, and security profiles.
• Perform firewall configuration reviews, security audits, and security hardening.
• Configure and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote-access VPNs.
• Work with IPS/IDS, application control, web filtering, antivirus, SSL inspection, and threat prevention technologies.
• Design and implement network segmentation and secure network architectures.
• Troubleshoot complex LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and connectivity issues.
• Conduct network security assessments and support penetration-testing activities.
• Analyze network traffic and packet captures using tools such as Wireshark.
• Troubleshoot security incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support firewall high availability, redundancy, upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery.
• Provide technical recommendations and remediation plans to customers.
• Prepare HLD/LLD documents, network diagrams, configuration documentation, and security assessment reports.
• Participate in planned maintenance and scheduled after-hours or weekend activities when required.
• Work closely with customers and technical teams during implementation, troubleshooting, and support activities.
• Ensure security implementations follow enterprise security standards, best practices, and customer requirements.

• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise and next-generation firewall technologies.
• Strong knowledge of site-to-site and remote-access VPN technologies.
• Network security, segmentation, secure architecture, and firewall hardening.
• Authentication technologies including:
• RADIUS
• TACACS+
• LDAP
• MFA
• Strong troubleshooting and packet-analysis skills.
• Good understanding of enterprise switching, routing, wireless, and WAN technologies.
• Experience with firewall migrations, upgrades, backups, and configuration management.
• Experience with security policies, access controls, and enterprise network security architecture.
• Ability to analyze complex security and network issues and provide effective technical solutions.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking and network security.
• Proven experience with firewall implementation, troubleshooting, audits, and optimization.
• Experience conducting security assessments and configuration reviews.
• Experience working directly with enterprise customers.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to take ownership of complex technical assignments.
• Strong communication and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work effectively with international customers and technical teams.
• Experience working with complex enterprise network and security environments.
