  • Review designs, technical submissions and commissioning documentation, supporting construction QA, site snagging, operational acceptance and handover across new facilities, expansions and major upgrades.
  • Conduct technical assurance reviews, site audits and assessments of Fire and Life Safety systems and maintenance practices, working with consultants, insurers and service providers to identify and drive risks through to closure.
  • Develop and continuously improve maintenance requirements and operational procedures, including ESoS maintenance plans and MOP, SOP and EOP documentation.
  • Provide technical support during incidents, HSE events and near misses, supporting root cause analysis, corrective actions and ensuring lessons learned inform future standards and designs.
  • Work across electrical, mechanical, controls, BMS/SCADA, security and HSE interfaces to integrate Fire and Life Safety requirements and improve safety, reliability and resilience.
  • Coach and mentor engineers and operational teams, helping build Fire and Life Safety capability across STACK EMEA.

What You’ll Bring

  • Extensive experience in Fire and Life Safety engineering within mission-critical environments, ideally data centres, spanning design, construction, commissioning, operations or technical assurance.
  • Advanced knowledge of Fire and Life Safety design and implementation, including fire detection and water- and gas-based suppression systems.
  • Strong understanding of mission-critical operations and how Fire and Life Safety systems interface with electrical, mechanical, controls and building systems.
  • Experience across design review, commissioning, operational acceptance and technical assurance, including site audits and risk assessment within critical environments.
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant European Fire and Life Safety codes and standards, including NFPA 72, EN 13501, EN 50600 and applicable national regulations.
  • Experience developing engineering standards, maintenance requirements and operational procedures, with strong technical judgement and a structured approach to incident investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Ability to influence, coach and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams, external partners and stakeholders.
  • Degree, HND/HNC or equivalent in Fire and Life Safety Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent demonstrable experience; professional accreditation or chartership is desirable.
