Role Overview As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing the day-to-day accounting for the Finnish legal entity. This position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in Finnish accounting requirements, while collaborating with an international finance team. Key Responsibilities - Take ownership of day-to-day accounting for the Finnish legal entity, ensuring accurate and reliable financial records. - Ensure accounting practices meet Finnish requirements and follow appropriate local financial processes. - Act as the local accounting expert, providing practical guidance and support to the CFO. - Identify and resolve accounting issues independently, escalating matters when needed. - Work closely with the wider finance team to coordinate local accounting activities with company priorities. - Review and improve accounting processes as the finance function grows. Requirements - Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant, or in a comparable role with independent accounting responsibility. - Strong knowledge of Finnish accounting requirements and local financial processes. - Ability to manage accounting for a Finnish legal entity independently. - Based in Finland and fluent in Finnish. - Strong English communication skills. - Experience in fintech.
