Senior Engineer – Data Centres & Critical Infrastructure Location: Ireland / International Projects Travel: Ireland and mainland Europe, with a current focus on the Nordics The Opportunity I'm working on behalf of a leading technical engineering and construction business delivering complex projects across Ireland, the UK, mainland Europe and internationally. The business specialises in Data Centres, Advanced Manufacturing, Pharmaceuticals, Food and Logistics, working with major clients on large-scale, technically demanding developments. They're looking to appoint an experienced Senior Engineer to join their team, supporting project delivery across Ireland and Europe. This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong general construction background who is comfortable travelling internationally as project requirements dictate. The business currently has a strong pipeline of projects across the Nordics, with further opportunities across Ireland and mainland Europe. The Role You'll play a key role in the technical coordination and delivery of projects, working closely with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors and clients to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standards. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate engineering activities across construction projects, ensuring works are delivered in line with specifications and project requirements.
• Manage and review technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project delivery.
• Monitor site progress, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions to keep works on schedule.
• Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and quality standards.
• Support project planning, programme management and resource coordination.
• Carry out site inspections and ensure works are completed to the required quality standards.
• Assist with the resolution of technical issues and coordination of design changes.
• Work closely with project management and commercial teams to support the successful delivery of projects.
• Travel across Ireland and mainland Europe as required, with a current focus on projects in the Nordics.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Senior Engineer within the construction industry.
• Strong general construction background, ideally with CSA (Civil, Structural and Architectural) experience.
• Experience working on large-scale or technically complex construction projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, technical drawings and project specifications.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel across Ireland and Europe as project requirements dictate.
• Experience in data centres, advanced manufacturing, pharmaceutical or other technically complex sectors would be advantageous.

Salary & Benefits

• €90,000 – €100,000 salary, depending on experience.
