Role snapshot
The Anti-cheat team at Embark is responsible for upholding the integrity of our games, identifying instances of unfair play, and protecting the experience of our players. We have a versatile toolbox at our disposal, which we continuously evolve and refine, including client-side protections, third-party systems, machine-learning models. Being a core function supporting all of Embark games, we collaborate with many different stakeholders throughout the organisation, such as game teams, legal and community management. We are now looking for a well rounded Data scientist to strengthen our operational capacity. As a member of our Anti-cheat team you will, among other things, be responsible for supporting our game teams with investigations into suspicious activities, performance analyses of detection rules, exploration of data and player behavior to design new rules. Your statistical background helps you identify significant patterns, and separate signals from noise. We operate in a complex environment where billions of telemetry events and other data are collected each day from all our games. You are likely curious to continuously learn new skills. You enjoy working autonomously and taking initiatives, while also collaborating within and across teams. You have a passion for data and technology, and feel excited to use your skills to help protect our players from unfair play and malicious actors. By being creative and experimental you aim to solve problems in a game-changing way. Example Of Responsibilities
