Senior Data Scientist (AI & GenAI) | Contract

Arj Global is hiring a Senior Data Scientist for a global enterprise client. You'll build AI-driven data products that support strategic decision-making, pricing and performance management across operations in more than 20 countries. Assignment details Full-time, 40 hours per week 6 months contract (possible extension) What you'll do

• Turn complex business problems into analytical, ML and AI opportunities
• Explore, prepare and analyse data from multiple sources
• Build statistical, machine learning and GenAI models and prototypes, and evaluate them
• Use AI-assisted tools day to day for coding, analysis, testing and documentation
• Work with Data Engineers and ML Engineers to productionise, monitor and improve models
• Explain findings and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Take part in Agile ceremonies and share knowledge with the wider data and analytics community

What you'll bring

• 4–7 years' experience as a Data Scientist in complex business environments
• Strong grounding in machine learning, statistics and probability
• Hands-on GenAI and LLM experience, including prompt design, model evaluation and intelligent automation
• A track record of taking solutions from prototype through deployment and monitoring
• Proficiency in Python, SQL and pandas, plus Tableau, Power BI or matplotlib
• Working knowledge of Git, Agile and DevOps practices
• Cloud data and AI platform experience is a plus
• Strong business acumen and the judgement to know when a simpler, non-AI solution is the better choice
• A degree in engineering, computer science, statistics, econometrics or a related field
• Concrete examples of AI or ML solutions you've delivered and the business value they produced
