Senior Data Integration Engineer - Stockholm - 12 Months

Role Overview In this position, you will be responsible for developing and supporting the data infrastructure that enables enterprise reporting, analytics, and business intelligence capabilities. Working closely with architects, analysts, and technical teams, you will help deliver reliable and scalable data solutions across a complex international environment. Key Responsibilities Data Engineering & Integration

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data integration solutions across multiple business systems.
• Develop ETL/ELT workflows that support reporting, analytics, and enterprise data initiatives.
• Optimise data processing and transformation routines to improve performance and reliability.

Data Platform Development

• Work closely with data architects and technical leads to implement enterprise data platform designs.
• Develop and maintain data warehouse structures, schemas, and data marts aligned to business requirements.
• Support the ongoing enhancement of data architecture and integration frameworks.

Data Quality & Governance

• Implement data validation, reconciliation, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure high-quality data delivery.
• Maintain alignment with master data standards and governance policies.
• Ensure compliance with internal security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Operational Support & Continuous Improvement

• Monitor platform performance and proactively identify issues impacting data availability.
• Troubleshoot integration failures, resolve incidents, and support service requests.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance platform stability, scalability, and efficiency.

Process & Compliance

• Follow established project governance, development standards, and change control processes.
• Ensure development, testing, and deployment activities are delivered in accordance with organisational best practices.

Experience

• Proven experience working as a Data Engineer, Data Integration Engineer, Data Warehouse Developer, or similar role within enterprise-scale environments.
• Strong expertise in SQL and modern data engineering development methodologies.
• Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, Scala, or comparable technologies used for large-scale data processing.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL/ELT frameworks and data pipelines.
• Good understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modelling, and analytical data structures.
• Experience working with cloud-based data ecosystems and enterprise analytics platforms.
• Familiarity with structured delivery methodologies and IT service management practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex data issues
• Previous experience within the utilities, energy, power transmission & distribution, grid infrastructure, renewable energy, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries.
• Understanding of operational, engineering, or asset management data environments.
• Exposure to data platforms supporting engineering, infrastructure, or industrial business functions would be advantageous.
