Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer for a fast growing, well funded software business that developed a cutting edge industry leading product. CANDIDATES MUST SPEAK NORWEGIAN What you’ll bring

• At least six years of relevant professional experience.
• A degree in a relevant technical or quantitative subject, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong SQL expertise in SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including interpreting execution plans, designing effective indexes and building maintainable data models.
• Experience developing and supporting production data pipelines using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Airflow, dbt or comparable technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python or C#; experience with both would be an advantage.
• An interest in using AI coding assistants to improve everyday engineering work, whether you already use them regularly or are keen to start.
• Fluent spoken and written Norwegian.

Useful additional experience

• Spatial databases and geospatial processing, including PostGIS, coordinate transformations and modern geographic data formats.
• Integrating public-sector, business, ownership or location datasets across Nordic markets.
• Designing APIs, building integrations for AI tools, or working with search platforms such as Azure AI Search or Elasticsearch.
• Azure services covering serverless computing, containers, messaging, secrets management and data storage.
• Development experience with Go.
