Senior Data Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Enablement & Processing (DEP) team. The primary responsibility will be to maintain existing production services built using Python and PostgreSQL that support business operations. The consultant will also work with the team on developing and operating modern data pipelines, APIs, and cloud-native services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Technology Stack

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and support existing Python and PostgreSQL services running in production.
• Develop and operate data pipelines and data-processing solutions.
• Design and maintain databases and data platforms.
• Develop and integrate APIs using GraphQL and/or REST.
• Deploy and operate cloud-native services on GCP.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Follow modern CI/CD and software delivery practices.
• Handle production incidents and troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate effectively regarding incidents, requirements, and solutions.
• Use AI coding assistants effectively as part of modern software development practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong professional experience with Python.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience running services on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines and data-processing solutions.
• Strong knowledge of database technologies.
• Experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience developing APIs and integrations using GraphQL and/or REST.
• Experience with CI/CD and modern software development practices.
• Experience with production incident handling.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience using AI coding assistants effectively.
