Senior Compliance Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Safety & Compliance Engineer who can take professional ownership of machinery safety and CE marking across our customer-driven projects and play a leading role in developing our overall safety and compliance capabilities. You will become a trusted advisor to our mechanical, electrical, and automation teams and play a key role in both project execution and the continued development of our practical approach to safety and compliance. Working closely with a small and highly skilled team of engineers and project managers, you will have a real opportunity to influence how we work and help ensure that safety and compliance become a natural part of delivering successful solutions. About the Role As our new Senior Safety & Compliance Engineer, you will be at the heart of technically complex projects, ensuring that safety and regulatory requirements are integrated into our solutions from early concept to commissioning. Working closely with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will support projects throughout the entire lifecycle, from early design and risk assessments to validation, CE marking, and final customer handover. You will be the go-to specialist on machinery safety and compliance, helping teams translate complex requirements into practical and robust engineering solutions. Beyond the individual projects, you will contribute to strengthening our safety and compliance capabilities by developing methods, standards, tools, and best practices that support both our customers and our internal teams. As part of our highly skilled team, you will have the opportunity to influence how we work and play an important role in fostering a strong culture of safety, quality, and compliance across DIS Systems. Your responsibilities include:

• Taking responsibility for machinery safety and CE marking in customer-specific machinery and automation projects
• Preparing risk assessments, safety strategies and concepts, and the required technical documentation
• Advising mechanical, electrical, and automation design teams throughout the development process
• Supporting commissioning, validation, and final handover of machinery and automation systems at customer sites
• Contributing to the implementation of the new Machinery Regulation and the Cyber Resilience Act
• Developing and improving our methods, standards, and processes within safety and compliance
• Contributing to the development and maintenance of management systems and processes related to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001
• Helping build and strengthen a safety and compliance culture where regulatory requirements are naturally integrated into the way we develop, build, and deliver engineering solutions

What We’re Looking For You are a pragmatic and solution-oriented specialist with strong technical insight and a natural focus on safety and compliance. You know how to translate regulatory and technical requirements into practical solutions that work in real-life engineering projects. You enjoy working close to projects and technical teams, while also being motivated by improving processes, standards, and ways of working. You thrive at the intersection of engineering, project execution, and compliance, and you are comfortable taking professional ownership within your area of expertise. To succeed in this role, we expect you to:

• Hold a relevant technical degree in engineering, marine engineering, or a similar field
• Have at least five years of documented experience with machinery safety, CE marking, and functional safety
• Have hands-on experience with validation and handover of machinery or automation systems
• Possess a strong understanding of machine & automation design and the ability to translate safety and compliance requirements into practical technical solutions
• Be a team player who enjoys working across engineering disciplines, projects, and compliance functions, sharing knowledge, and contributing to a positive, collaborative culture where people succeed together.
• Be motivated by combining hands-on project work with the continued development of our approach to safety and compliance
