Senior Cloud Data Engineer – GCP

Bytespoke AB is looking for a Senior Cloud Data Engineer to join the Client Reporting team in Stockholm, Sweden. This is a full-time role within Consulting – SE. About the role You will work with business-critical data flows and reporting solutions as the organization moves from legacy systems to a modern, scalable data ecosystem on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The team’s mission is to make data accessible, reliable, and easy to consume, supporting data-driven decisions and next-generation applications. Key responsibilities • Drive and contribute to the technical roadmap for data and integration solutions • Design, develop, and implement scalable cloud data solutions • Build and modernize data pipelines, APIs, and data products • Connect legacy systems with cloud-native architectures on GCP • Maintain and enhance existing applications within the data ecosystem • Work closely with architects, product owners, and stakeholders • Follow technical standards, architecture, and best practices • Support data quality, governance, and reliability Required skills and experience • Several years of experience in software development and data engineering • Strong hands-on experience with GCP or similar cloud platforms • Proficiency in Python, SQL, and BigQuery • Experience with tools such as BigQuery, Dataform, Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker • Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including data warehouses and event-driven systems • Experience with ETL processes and data modelling, such as dimensional modelling and Data Vault • Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and GitLab • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform Who you are • A senior data engineer with a strong technical foundation in cloud technologies • Comfortable balancing strategy, architecture, and hands-on development • A collaborative team player with strong communication skills • Able to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions • Able to work in both Swedish and English Apply through the Bytespoke careers portal: https://portal.bytespoke.com/jobs/bytespoke_ab/senior_cloud_data_engineer_%E2%80%93_gcp
