Job Description: Senior Cloud Architect – Azure & GCP Location: Malmo Working Model: Hybrid - 2 Days Job Type: Contract Seniority: Senior / Lead Architect Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Architect with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), cloud transformation and enterprise architecture. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing secure, scalable and cost-effective cloud solutions, leading cloud migration initiatives, and modernising enterprise applications and data platforms. The role will involve working with business stakeholders, engineering teams and technical leadership to define cloud strategies, establish architecture standards and deliver transformation programmes in complex enterprise environments, particularly within banking and other regulated industries. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement enterprise-scale cloud architectures across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• Lead cloud migration and modernisation initiatives, including legacy application transformation and data warehouse migration.
• Design Azure landing zones, cloud-native platforms and multi-cloud solutions aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and establish reusable deployment patterns.
• Design and implement cloud integration solutions using Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps and event-driven architecture.
• Architect scalable data platforms and cloud analytics solutions using BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Databricks and related technologies.
• Define cloud security, identity and access management, governance, monitoring and cost-optimisation strategies.
• Work with Kubernetes and containerised applications to support cloud-native application deployment.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment practices using Azure DevOps, Git and Google Cloud Build.
• Produce High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), architecture decision records and technical roadmaps.
• Lead architecture reviews, technical design workshops and technology evaluations.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, delivery teams and senior architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with relevant security, data protection and regulatory requirements in enterprise environments.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Extensive IT experience with a strong background in cloud architecture and enterprise technology transformation.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience designing cloud-native, hybrid-cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
• Experience with cloud migration, application modernisation and data platform transformation.
• Strong knowledge of Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Kubernetes, containerisation, CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Understanding of cloud security, IAM, networking, monitoring and cost management.
• Experience designing APIs, event-driven systems and enterprise integration solutions.
• Strong architecture documentation, governance and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in banking, financial services or other regulated environments is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively with distributed engineering teams in a hybrid working environment in Sweden.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104).
• Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect.
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer.
• Experience with Agile, SAFe, Scrum or PRINCE2 delivery methodologies.

Desirable Additional Experience

• Enterprise data architecture and cloud data warehouse modernisation.
• Apache Iceberg, Databricks, Snowflake and BigQuery.
• Azure OpenAI, generative AI, RAG and agent-based application architecture.
• Cloud governance, security remediation, GDPR and PCI-DSS.
• Experience in large-scale banking transformation programmes.
