About The Team And The Role Tise is transforming the future of ecommerce, and we're in search of a Senior Business Developer to help chart the course! This role is vital in tackling several important commercial and operational challenges, initially concentrating on monetization. You'll be instrumental in identifying new commercial opportunities that will drive marketplace growth while preserving a great user experience. We need someone with outstanding experience and judgment to address complex business challenges across various areas of Tise. You'll collaborate closely with senior leaders and assume wider responsibility when required. Your efforts will span strategy, commercial expansion, data insights, and carrying out plans. You could argue for new revenue options, prepare commercial plans, lead initiatives involving multiple groups, engage in partner negotiations, or structure and promote major business sectors. What you will accomplish

• Take ownership of high-priority business opportunities and problems, from initial analysis and structuring through recommendation and execution.
• Identify, analyze, and cultivate new monetization and growth opportunities for the eBay marketplace.
• Build strong arguments and decision materials, combining customer understanding, commercial performance, and financial impact.
• Serve as a dependable sounding board for leaders and teams, providing structure, challenge, and a solid commercial viewpoint on key decisions.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Data & Insight, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Customer Support, and Operations.
• Transition effortlessly among different parts of the business and embrace new priorities as eBay’s demands develop.
• Assume increased responsibility for projects or business segments as required, including temporarily managing duties outside the role’s primary scope.
• Translate complex or ambiguous problems into clear priorities, decisions, and actionable plans.
• Work hands-on with pricing, incentives, campaigns, shipping, and other commercial levers to understand and improve marketplace performance.
• Develop third-party opportunities and lead commercial dialogue and negotiations with relevant external partners.
• Support cross-border trade and market expansion by crafting commercial models, propositions, and operating approaches.
• Track results after launch, synthesize findings, and ensure that insights translate into better decisions and next steps.

What you will bring

• Significant experience in business development, commercial strategy, growth, strategy consulting, marketplace operations, or a similar role.
• Strong commercial insight and the capacity to rapidly grasp new business domains and determine what is most important.
• Strong analytical and commercial thinking, with the ability to structure ambiguous problems, develop arguments, and turn data into clear recommendations.
• The seniority and confidence to serve as a strong sparring partner for leaders and other senior collaborators.
• A track record of taking ownership of complex initiatives and driving them across functions from problem definition to execution.
• Comfort switching between strategic work, analysis, collaborator management, and hands-on problem solving.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to simplify complex topics and build alignment around decisions.
• Confidence working with data to size opportunities, assess trade-offs, and evaluate results.
• High ownership, good judgment, and a bias for action.
• Comfort operating in a dynamic environment where priorities evolve and the scope of the role may change over time.
• Experience in consumer tech, e-commerce, or marketplaces is a plus, but not a requirement.
