What you'll do

Location: Stockholm – office-first Start: ASAP Duration: 12 months Seniority: Senior We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer for a long-term assignment with a fast-growing technology company in Stockholm. The company is building a technology platform for the rapidly evolving energy sector, helping energy companies make smarter use of distributed energy resources. If you are a senior engineer who enjoys working with ambitious people in a startup/scale-up environment, taking real ownership and having an impact on both the product and technology, this could be a great fit. What we're looking for – in order of priority

  • Gets things done You ship, close loops and move things forward without needing to be chased.
  • Ownership You take a problem end-to-end and treat it as yours – including the less glamorous parts such as monitoring, documentation and cleanup.
  • Engineering curiosity You ask why, dig into the system and genuinely want to understand how things work. You keep learning and challenging yourself technically.
  • Cultural fit This is a small team working closely together, so collaboration and personality matter. It needs to click for everyone involved.

Nice to have Go and AWS are part of the current stack, but they are not hard requirements. We would rather work with a strong engineer who demonstrates the qualities above and can quickly pick up the stack than a Go expert who doesn't tick points 1–3. Who you are You are the type of engineer who wants to understand the whole problem rather than just the ticket in front of you. You enjoy taking responsibility, making things happen and seeing your work all the way through to production. You are curious, pragmatic and comfortable working closely with other experienced engineers. Screening question Before the first interview, we ask every candidate: “What is the project you are most proud of, why, what was your role in it, and what made it challenging?”
