Senior Android Developer

TeamPilot is looking for a Senior Android Developer. This is a long-term consulting opportunity connected to one of Sweden’s most business-critical digital platforms. The assignment focuses on further development, performance optimization, and innovation within a modern cloud-native environment. You will be part of a cross-functional product team working with high-volume applications where user experience, security, and scalability are central to success. The role and technical environment: You will contribute to the continued development of a modern Android application built on a cloud-based architecture. A key part of the assignment is integrating the application with distributed backend services while ensuring excellent performance, stability, and security. You will work closely with backend developers, DevOps engineers, and product stakeholders to deliver new functionality and improve existing user journeys. The role also includes implementing real-time features, supporting AI-driven experiences, improving observability, and optimizing application responsiveness in a large-scale production environment. Android Development in Production Environments Kotlin and/or Java Android Architecture Patterns (MVVM or equivalent) Backend API Integration CI/CD and Automated Mobile Testing Mobile Security and Secure Authentication Flows Performance Optimization and Scalability Cloud-Native and Distributed Systems Understanding AI-Assisted Development and Testing Practices Knowledge in Swedish is a requierment Who you are: We are looking for a senior professional who can independently drive development work in complex environments. You have a structured approach to problem-solving and can balance technical quality with business needs. You are comfortable collaborating across disciplines and translating product requirements into reliable mobile functionality. You proactively identify risks, communicate clearly with stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement within the team. You are curious about emerging technologies and understand how AI can enhance both development processes and user experiences.
