You will combine information security expertise with curiosity about AI, cloud, data protection and emerging technology—helping us turn fast-moving developments into secure, practical solutions. Your new role As a Security Architect focused on AI, you will enable the secure and responsible adoption of AI across Novo. You will help shape a new and evolving capability, working at the pace of AI development and constructively challenging current practices where a better approach is needed. Within the Cyber Risk & Resilience department, the Security Architect team partners with business, AI, data, cloud and technical teams to assess risks, define proportionate controls and translate complex security requirements into practical guidance for scalable AI solutions. Some of your responsibilities will be:

• Assessing AI and generative AI solutions across their lifecycle, including models, data, prompts, agents, APIs and supporting cloud services.
• Applying AI threat-modelling approaches to risks such as prompt injection, data leakage, model or data poisoning, insecure integrations, excessive agency and misuse of AI-generated output.
• Working directly with AI, data, cloud, application and platform teams to define secure architecture patterns, guardrails and practical controls for AI-enabled solutions.
• Performing modular risk assessments that break down complex AI, application and cloud architectures, clarify data flows and show how risks accumulate across the solution.
• Testing and improving repeatable security requirements and review methods so teams can make faster, well-informed decisions as AI technologies evolve.
• Translating regulatory and legislative developments, including the EU AI Act and NIS2, into actionable security requirements with Legal, Privacy, Quality and Security colleagues.
• Building partnerships across the AI community, sharing secure practices through workshops, hackathons and internal communication, and continuously adapting our approach to emerging threats and frameworks.

You will have the opportunity to take part in seminars, poster sessions, hackathons and panel discussions, and to share your expertise with colleagues at all levels of the organisation. The role is based in Ballerup, Denmark, with travel to other sites for a few days per month depending on project activity. Your Skills and Qualifications

• A relevant degree or equivalent practical experience in information security, computer science, engineering, data science or a related field.
• Either 3+ years of experience in information security, technology risk or security architecture, or 1+ years of hands-on experience addressing security risks in AI or machine-learning solutions.
• Experience in one or more relevant areas, such as AI/ML systems, generative AI, cloud platforms, application security, data protection, identity, secure software development, threat modelling or risk assessment.
• The ability to understand technical architectures and data flows, identify meaningful security risks and explain recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications or training—such as AISec+, CISSP, CCSP, CISM or comparable AI, cloud, application or information-security credentials—are an advantage, not a requirement.

You communicate clearly, approach complex problems with curiosity and pragmatism, and enjoy collaborating across disciplines. You are comfortable challenging assumptions, learning quickly and influencing decisions while keeping security guidance practical. Your new department You will join the newly established Security Architecture team within Cyber Risk & Resilience. Salary For this role, the Annual Base Salary ranges from 742,600.00 to 1,091,600.00 DKK, corresponding to the level of the position.
