  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to identify and phase out substances of concern.
  • Evaluate and support the implementation of safer and more sustainable material alternatives.

  • Proactively monitor regulatory developments and assess their potential impact on products and processes.

Required Qualifications

  • University degree in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience within substance compliance, material compliance, chemical management, product compliance, or closely related areas.
  • Strong practical knowledge of chemical and substance regulations, particularly:

  • TSCA
  • CLP
  • POPs
  • Similar international substance and material compliance regulations
  • Experience assessing regulatory requirements and translating them into technical and business requirements.
  • Experience reviewing supplier declarations, material/substance data, and compliance documentation.
  • Experience supporting product development or industrial products from a regulatory compliance perspective.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Experience Experience within automotive, heavy vehicles, marine, industrial machinery, manufacturing, or another complex product-development environment is highly valuable. Knowledge of supplier material compliance, restricted substance management, sustainable materials, product declarations, and chemical management processes would be advantageous. Personal Profile We are looking for a hands-on and proactive professional who enjoys taking ownership and driving compliance topics independently. You should be comfortable working across organizational boundaries and communicating complex regulatory and technical requirements to different stakeholders. You combine strong technical expertise with a genuine interest in sustainability, safer materials, regulatory development, and future product technologies.
