Scada Engineer

SCADA Server Infrastructure Engineer Kolding, Denmark (Hybrid) Up to 1,300 DKK/hour Contract until December 2026 with strong likelihood of extension into 2027 Vattenfall is seeking an experienced SCADA Server Infrastructure Engineer to support and maintain the critical server infrastructure underpinning its Operational Technology (OT) and SCADA environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled infrastructure professional with strong server, virtualization, security, and disaster recovery experience who enjoys working in critical infrastructure environments. Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain physical and virtual server infrastructure supporting SCADA and OT systems.
• Perform server lifecycle management, including upgrades, migrations, replacements, and modernization activities.
• Design, implement, and support backup, restore, disaster recovery, high-availability, and failover solutions.
• Monitor server performance, capacity, availability, and overall system health.
• Investigate and resolve infrastructure incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
• Support security and compliance requirements across the server environment.
• Participate in design reviews, operational readiness testing, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and configuration records.
• Collaborate with internal teams, suppliers, and stakeholders to deliver reliable infrastructure services.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong Windows Server and Linux administration experience.
• Hands-on experience with VMware, vSphere, and vSAN.
• Experience supporting enterprise server environments and hardware platforms such as Dell, HPE, or IBM.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, certificates, and Windows infrastructure services.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and patch management solutions such as Veeam.
• Understanding of Operational Technology (OT) or industrial infrastructure environments.

Must-Have Security Experience Candidates must demonstrate experience with:

• Trend Micro Deep Security
• Splunk
• Syslog
• Enterprise security and monitoring solutions
