Techstep is developing rapidly, and we are looking for an ambitious, hands-on, and technology-driven SAP & Finance Transformation Lead who can grow with the role. You will own the day-to-day operation, support, governance, and continued development of SAP S/4HANA and related Finance solutions. You will also lead the mapping, redesign, and automation of end-to-end Finance processes across accounting, banking and payments, master data, invoicing, reporting and integrations. Working at the intersection of Finance, technology, and operations, you will translate business needs into practical and user-friendly solutions, and deliver measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, control, and scalability across Norway, Sweden, and Poland. The position reports to the CFO and involves close collaboration with the Finance team, business stakeholders, IT, banks, and external system partners. Main Responsibilities - Take hands-on functional ownership of SAP Finance operations, administration, support, governance, and the development roadmap, linking priorities to measurable process improvements and business outcomes - Manage SAP access, roles, authorizations, periodic access reviews, and license usage - Own the Finance governance and continuous improvement of master data processes, working with relevant business owners across customer, supplier, service product, chart-of-accounts, payment-term, tax, cost-center, and profit-center data - Map, analyse, standardize, and automate banking and payment processes, including bank integrations, payment runs, electronic bank statements, automatic clearing, and bank reconciliation, in collaboration with Treasury and banking partners - Act as the Finance functional owner for supplier and customer invoicing solutions, electronic invoicing, SAP integrations, and recurring Finance jobs, working with IT and system partners to identify and implement automation opportunities - Lead Finance system incidents and enhancement requests from process mapping, root-cause analysis, and solution design through testing, documentation, implementation, and post-implementation benefits review - Represent Finance in SAP governance and release activities, assess impacts on Finance processes, and support country-specific requirements across countries - Build and manage prioritized Finance systems and process improvement roadmap. Establish baselines and KPIs, and document measurable gains in cycle time, manual effort, data quality, control effectiveness, reporting, standardization, and user experience through automation and practical use of AI. Desired Qualifications - Relevant experience from Finance systems, ERP, process improvement, or a comparable role, with the ability to take ownership of operational issues and improvement initiatives - Good understanding of end-to-end Finance processes, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, master data, banking, payments, reporting, segregation of duties and internal controls - Practical experience with ERP systems, Finance technology, integrations, or systems administration, including hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA. Experience with SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud is an advantage. - Experience in mapping and standardising end-to-end Finance processes across countries, documenting current and future states, identifying root causes and control gaps, and contributing to automation or process improvements with measurable results - Experience translating management reporting needs into master data, reporting dimensions, mapping, and integration requirements - A strong digital and process-oriented mindset, with enthusiasm for workflow automation, analytics, AI, and using data to demonstrate improvements in Finance operations - Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Norwegian and English Who are You? You are not expected to know everything from day one, but you must be motivated to build deep Finance systems expertise and take ownership from problem identification to measurable results.
