What you'll do

About the Role: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Safety Officer to support a data centre construction project in Lille Skensved, Denmark starting January 2027. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of health and safety experience, preferably within data centre construction, with a mechanical construction background. Both contractors and candidates seeking permanent employment are welcome to apply. Initial contract duration is 6–12 months, with potential for extension or permanent employment for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with applicable health and safety legislation, project requirements and site procedures.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and monitor compliance with safe systems of work.
  • Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings and inductions to workers and subcontractors.
  • Investigate incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Promote safe working practices, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Work closely with site management, subcontractors and project teams to address safety concerns and maintain high standards.
  • Monitor high-risk activities and ensure relevant permits, training and safety documentation are in place.
  • Maintain accurate EHS records and support continuous improvement of the site's safety culture.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a health and safety role, preferably within construction.
  • Previous experience in data centre construction is highly desirable.
  • Mechanical construction experience would be an advantage.
  • Relevant health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH or an equivalent certification, preferred.
  • Good understanding of risk assessments, RAMS, site inspections and incident investigation.
  • Willingness to complete any Danish-specific training or qualification required for the assigned responsibilities.
