Retail & Commercial Development Manager

We are looking for a Retail & Commercial Development Manager who wants to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and make a visible impact on our commercial development. The role covers retail, online parts sales, commercial performance and pricing. Our online sales business is still at an early stage, giving you the opportunity to help shape how we develop our digital parts sales channels, test new approaches, and turn ideas into results. You will work with a wide range of stakeholders across the business, partnering closely with the Commercial Parts Director, Product Owners, Purchasing and other commercial and functional teams. The role involves both developing longer-term strategies and working practically to implement them and deliver results. What You Will Do

• Develop our retail business, with a focus on profitable growth and customer experience.
• Build and grow our online parts sales channels, identifying opportunities to improve the customer journey, conversion and commercial performance.
• Turn sales, margin, customer and business data into insights and concrete actions.
• Follow customer needs, market developments and trends and translate them into opportunities for our commercial offering.
• Develop our overall pricing strategy for the Bus business and translate it into practical ways of working.
• Develop our approach to value-based pricing, connecting customer value with our commercial ambitions.

Who are you? You have a commercial mindset and enjoy understanding both what the numbers tell us and what we can do differently as a result. You are comfortable moving between strategic questions and practical implementation. You enjoy developing ideas and approaches, but you are equally motivated by putting them into practice and seeing the results. Collaboration is an important part of this role. You enjoy working with people from different parts of the organization, bringing perspectives together, and finding solutions with others. At the same time, you are comfortable taking initiative and moving work forward when everything is not yet defined. We believe you will bring experience or capability in several of the following areas:

• Commercial development, digital sales, pricing, or related business areas.
• Translate business strategy into executable commercial roadmaps
• Working in new or evolving areas where all the answers are not yet available.
• Using data and analysis to identify opportunities and support commercial decisions.
• Understanding the connections between customer value, pricing, sales, cost and profitability.
• Working collaboratively across functions and with different stakeholders.
• Balancing strategic development with practical execution.
