Regulatory & Materials Specialist Help shape the future of regulatory compliance at Americhem Europe Americhem Europe is looking for an experienced Regulatory & Materials Specialist to establish and develop our European regulatory and material compliance function. This is a newly created position with significant responsibility and visibility across the European business. You will become the subject matter expert for European regulatory compliance, supporting customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders across Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, R&D and Operations. The role is particularly important as Americhem continues to grow in regulated markets such as healthcare, medical, food contact and automotive. You will help ensure that our products, raw materials and documentation meet applicable European requirements and that our customers receive accurate, timely and professional regulatory support. This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who enjoys building structure, taking ownership and translating complex regulatory requirements into practical business solutions. Your responsibilities As Material & Compliance Specialist, you will have a broad and hands-on role covering both regulatory affairs and material compliance. Your responsibilities will include:

• Own and coordinate European regulatory and material compliance activities for Americhem’s raw materials and products.
• Act as the European point of contact for regulatory and material compliance matters, supporting colleagues, customers and suppliers.
• Review new and existing raw materials, including technical information, regulatory status, supplier documentation and Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure that relevant regulatory and technical information is accurate, complete and maintained in the appropriate systems and databases.
• Prepare customer-specific compliance declarations, reports and supporting documentation related to chemical, material and product requirements.
• Support compliance with relevant European regulations, including REACH, CLP, SDS requirements, restricted substances, RoHS, food contact, medical, automotive, packaging and sustainability requirements.
• Monitor changes in European legislation and communicate their potential impact on products, raw materials and business activities.
• Support customer audits, regulatory questionnaires, supplier reviews and quality agreements.
• Work closely with Quality, Supply Chain, R&D, Sales and Operations to ensure that regulatory requirements are considered in product development and customer projects.
• Collaborate with Corporate RMSG to ensure alignment between European requirements and global Americhem standards.
• Help establish and continuously improve processes, systems and best practices for European regulatory and material compliance.
• Travel to customers, suppliers, Americhem locations and relevant meetings as required.

What we are looking for We are looking for an experienced specialist who can work independently and take ownership of a developing area. Since this is a new function in Europe, it is important that you bring practical experience from a similar regulatory, product compliance or material compliance role. You may come from the polymer and plastics industry, but we also welcome candidates with transferable experience from related industries such as chemicals, additives, specialty chemicals, raw materials, coatings, adhesives, masterbatch, compounding or other regulated manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate has:

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Several years of relevant experience within regulatory affairs, product compliance, material compliance, chemical compliance or a comparable technical role.
• Practical knowledge of European chemical and product compliance requirements, particularly REACH, CLP and SDS requirements.
• Experience working with regulatory documentation, customer declarations, supplier information and compliance assessments.
• The ability to interpret legislation and translate it into clear, practical actions.
• A structured, analytical and detail-oriented approach.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Knowledge of additional European languages would be an advantage, particularly in relation to customer and regulatory documentation. What we offer At Americhem Europe, you will have the opportunity to:
