What you'll do

As Regional Software Lead, you will own and coordinate European software and functional deliveries, serving as the critical bridge between European engineering teams, Regional Program Leads (RPL), and international engineering teams in China. You will ensure European software components and features are integrated seamlessly into the vehicle architecture on time, meeting quality standards, milestones, and release readiness (including OTA readiness). Key Responsibilities - Cross-Regional Coordination & Representation: - Act as the primary European software point of contact toward China teams and represent Software Chief Engineers and the EE Department toward project stakeholders. - Align software priorities, feature scopes, release plans, and requirement changes through agreed handshake processes with teams in China. - Support Change Control Board (CRB) preparations and management reporting. - Software Delivery & Architecture Alignment: - Own European software and functional implementation planning post-PS milestone, tracking maturity, integration progress, and SOP readiness. - Coordinate with System and Software Architects on implementation, updates, cybersecurity, and rollback strategies. - Lead cross-functional issue resolution, track software blockers, and manage delivery risks and dependencies across regions. - Quality, Testing & Governance: - Ensure technical feasibility, software quality, and validation against functional requirements. - Provide guidance on defect resolution for European features and report software progress in project reviews and release boards. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. - Minimum 10 years of automotive industry experience, with a strong background working directly within or close to product development projects. - Leadership & Stakeholder Management: Proven track record in managing complex software dependencies across multi-regional teams and synthesizing technical topics for senior stakeholders. - Tools & Systems: Proficient in Jira and Office 365. - Language Skills: Fluent in English (written and spoken). Native or fluent Mandarin is considered a strong advantage due to extensive cross-regional collaboration with teams in China. - Trips to China may be required (1-2 times /y). EU/EEA Citizens & Swedish Permit Holders: Applicants with current legal authorization to work in Sweden are welcome to apply directly. The recruitment is ongoing. We are strongly committed to maintaining an inclusive, equitable, and respectful hiring process and workplace environment. All employment decisions are based strictly on merit, competence, and business needs.
