Are you curious about how great beverages are made - and would you like to learn the craft in a fast-paced production environment? FLO is growing, and we're looking for an Assistant Brewer to join our production team at Sollihøgda, just outside Oslo.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys practical work, pays attention to the details and wants to learn. You might already have some experience from food or beverage production – or you may have recently graduated and be looking for the right place to start your career. Either way, you don't need to know everything from day one. What matters most is that you're reliable, curious and ready to get involved.

What you’ll get involved in?

As our Assistant Brewer, you'll work closely with our Brewers and support the daily production of our beverages. You'll be involved throughout the process – from preparing ingredients and monitoring production to cleaning equipment and keeping accurate batch records. Reporting to the Head of Operations, your main responsibilities will include:

• Brewing & blending: Weighing and preparing ingredients and assisting with mixing according to recipes and SOPs. You'll also operate and monitor equipment such as tanks, pumps, mixers, DAW and carbonation systems.
• Process monitoring: Measuring and recording production data such as temperature, pH, Brix, ABV and carbonation levels, while keeping accurate batch records.
• Cleaning & sanitation: Cleaning and sanitizing vessels, tanks, hoses, mixers and other production equipment, including carrying out Clean-in-Place (CIP) procedures.
• Safe production: Following our hygiene, food safety and HSE procedures, including the correct use of PPE when handling chemicals.
• Supporting the team: Helping our Brewers with their daily work and supporting filling, packaging and other production activities when needed.

You'll also keep an eye out for anything that doesn't look right and report equipment issues or process deviations quickly. Good production is a team effort, and communication is an important part of the job.

Who are we looking for?

We're not necessarily looking for someone with years of brewing experience. We're looking for someone who is precise, dependable and eager to learn. Someone who understands that the small details make a big difference when you're producing beverages people are going to enjoy. You'll probably feel at home in this role if you:

• Have a good eye for detail and like doing things properly
• Enjoy practical, hands-on work
• Understand the importance of hygiene and following established procedures
• Are comfortable standing, walking, lifting and moving ingredients and containers of different weights
• Are comfortable using a tablet and/or PC – we use Odoo to keep track of ingredients and production
• Are happy to support the Brewers and pitch in wherever the production team needs you
• Are curious, willing to learn and comfortable asking questions
• Enjoy working as part of a team

A relevant education in brewing, beverage production, food science, food technology or a similar field is an advantage, but not a requirement. We're happy to train the right person on the job.

A few practical details

The Assistant Brewer currently works 10:00–18:00, overlapping with both Brewer shifts. Working hours may occasionally vary depending on production needs, with changes communicated in advance. Our production facility is located at Sollihøgda, outside Oslo, so access to a car is strongly recommended.
