R&D Scientist - Proteomics

We are seeking a Staff Scientist to provide scientific and technical leadership for the development of our next-generation proteomics sample preparation solutions. The successful candidate will bring a deep understanding of proteomics and its application to biological research, together with a strong appreciation of customer workflows, challenges and emerging needs. You will identify opportunities where new sample preparation tools can enable better proteomics experiments and help define the technologies, reagent kits and workflows needed to address them. Working across R&D and multidisciplinary teams, you will help shape our technology strategy and lead the development, automation and validation of new solutions that support innovation and new product development. This role is well suited to a scientist who enjoys connecting deep technical expertise with real customer needs and who wants to influence the future of proteomics sample preparation through practical, high-quality scientific solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Provide scientific leadership and expertise in proteomics, with a strong understanding of how proteomics is used to address biological questions.
• Understand customer workflows, applications and pain points and identify opportunities for new sample preparation tools and solutions.
• Lead the development, optimization, automation and validation of next-generation proteomics sample preparation workflows.
• Maintain a strong understanding of emerging trends, technologies and applications in proteomics and assess their implications for future product development.
• Collaborate across R&D, product management, commercial and other functions to connect customer needs with technology and product strategy.

Requirements Qualifications and Experience:

• PhD, MSc or equivalent experience in proteomics, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology or a related discipline.
• Deep knowledge of mass spectrometry-based proteomics and its application to biological research.
• Strong understanding of proteomics sample preparation, experimental workflows and factors influencing data quality and biological insight.
• Strong scientific problem-solving, experimental design and data interpretation skills.
• Demonstrated scientific or technical leadership and ability to influence multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to engage effectively with scientists, customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience with automation, development of reagent-based workflows or translation of technologies into commercial products would be an advantage.
