About the role

As an R&D Project Manager, you will lead multidisciplinary teams to bring next-generation measurement instruments from concept to full production. Operating within our active Portfolio Management team, you will manage complex projects, uniting diverse specialists to deliver products that meet scope, schedule, and quality targets.

Work tasks

You will be responsible for leading one or two R&D projects simultaneously, guiding multidisciplinary teams to successfully transition new measurement instruments from concept to volume production.

• Lead R&D projects end-to-end, taking ownership of scope, schedule, and stakeholders.
• Unite and guide multidisciplinary teams of specialists toward shared business goals.
• Collaborate with customers and experts to define winning product characteristics.
• Ensure that full manufacturing and delivery capabilities are established at Vaisalas factories, in collaboration with manufacturing experts
• Manage project budgets, resources, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Apply and explore AI tools to enhance daily project management workflows.

We are looking for

• Advanced project management skills with experience leading complex, end-to-end product development projects.
• Relevant technical education (M.Sc or B.Sc)
• Good technical background, with understanding of physical hardware and manufacturing.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills in both English and Finnish.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect projects to business value.

It is meritorious if you have

• Good knowledge of Atlassian tools
• IPMA C or B certification or equivalent proven competence.
• Experience in the manufacturing or datacenter industries.
