Quality Assurance Tester

Job Role: Technical Tester – Payments Location: Stockholm, Sweden Job Type: Contract Note: No Sponsorship Provided Industry: Banking / Financial Services Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Technical Tester to join a Payments team within a banking environment. The role involves testing complex payment systems and integrated solutions, with a strong focus on system, regression, acceptance and end-to-end testing. The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams and development teams in a cross-functional Agile environment using the SAFe framework. Key Responsibilities:

• Analyse and understand business and technical requirements, system functionality, processes and workflows.
• Design, write, maintain and execute system test cases and test scenarios.
• Define and monitor testing status and critical KPIs.
• Plan and execute complex regression, acceptance and end-to-end testing across multiple integrated systems.
• Validate complete payment flows and system integrations.
• Identify, analyse and communicate defects and testing issues.
• Collaborate closely with developers, business stakeholders and internal/external teams.
• Drive discussions with stakeholders to establish a clear understanding of testing requirements.
• Participate actively in a cross-functional Agile team operating under the SAFe framework.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes, methodologies and quality.
• Take ownership of assigned testing activities and deliverables.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Test Engineer, Technical Tester or Software Tester.
• Experience testing complex software systems and integrated applications.
• Strong knowledge of modern software testing methodologies, tools and practices.
• Hands-on experience with:
• System Testing
• Regression Testing
• Acceptance Testing
• End-to-End (E2E) Testing
• Integration Testing
• Ability to understand and analyse both business and technical requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies, preferably SAFe and/or Scrum.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work effectively with both IT and business stakeholders.
• Self-driven, proactive and comfortable working independently.
• Flexible and solution-oriented approach with the ability to adapt to changing requirements.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
