Quality Assistant – Food Production For one of our clients in the seafood industry, DB Partner is looking for a Quality Assistant to join the production team. This is a practical, hands-on role combining work in a modern food-production environment with daily quality and food-safety controls. You do not need to be an experienced quality specialist, but you should be accurate, responsible, comfortable using digital systems, and able to understand why food-safety procedures are important. For the right person, this is a great opportunity to gain experience within quality and food safety in the seafood industry. What will you do? As a Quality Assistant, you will work closely with both the production and quality teams. A large part of the job takes place directly in the production environment. Your tasks may include:

• Performing routine quality checks during production
• Taking product, water and environmental samples
• Checking and recording temperatures
• Carrying out simple tests and inspections
• Checking product quality, weight, packaging and labelling
• Performing routine checks of equipment such as metal detectors, X-ray systems and scales
• Recording results in spreadsheets, electronic forms and quality systems
• Registering and reporting deviations when something does not meet the required standard
• Following hygiene, food-safety and quality procedures
• Supporting the Quality team with other operational tasks when required

You will receive training in the procedures and systems used at the factory. Who are we looking for? We are primarily looking for someone who is reliable, observant and able to think independently. You should:

• Be able to communicate well in English
• Be comfortable using computers and learning different software systems
• Be accurate and structured when recording information
• Understand the importance of hygiene and food safety
• Be able to follow procedures while also noticing when something does not look right
• Be comfortable working in a production environment
• Be willing to learn and take responsibility for the controls you perform
• Be able to cooperate with production workers, team leaders and the Quality team
• Be flexible regarding working hours and able to work different shifts

Norwegian language skills are not required. Education or previous experience within food production, food technology, quality control, laboratory work, HACCP or food safety is an advantage, but it is not a requirement. Relevant training will be provided. We think you may be a good fit if...
