QEHS Supervisor

QEHS Supervisor Location: Asker, Norway Company: Nord Gas Solutions About the Position The QEHS Supervisor supports the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Quality, Environment, Health, Safety and Security within Nord Gas Solutions and its projects. The position will have a particular role in strengthening NGS’s approach to risk and opportunity management. This includes taking a leading and coordinating role in developing practical systems, processes and ways of working, while ensuring that risk management remains integrated into business processes and owned by the relevant managers and process owners. Main Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and maintaining the company’s QEHS Policy, objectives and targets.
• Contribute to monthly QEHS reporting for Nord Gas Solutions.
• Coordinate, participate in and facilitate internal, customer and third-party audits and certification activities related to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Support process owners in establishing, maintaining and improving business processes.
• Work with process owners to align processes across NGS locations and ensure that work is performed consistently and in accordance with agreed requirements and good practice.
• Monitor process effectiveness through internal process and project audits, reporting and follow-up, enabling fact-based decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Support the registration, investigation and follow-up of nonconformities and Environment, Health, Safety and Security cases.
• Initiate or facilitate Root Cause Analysis when required.
• Facilitate lessons learned sessions and support the sharing and implementation of relevant learning across the organization.
• Contribute to regular safety walks and other proactive QEHS activities.
• Inform and train employees in relevant QEHS requirements, systems and ways of working.
• Facilitate risk and opportunity reviews, collect relevant input and involve the appropriate stakeholders.
• Take a leading and coordinating role in the further development of NGS’s risk and opportunity management framework, processes, tools and reporting practices.
• Support the development of a consistent and practical way of identifying, assessing, documenting, escalating and following up risks and opportunities across projects, processes and functions.
• Work with managers, project teams and process owners to improve the quality of risk assessments and ensure that risks and opportunities are actively used in planning and decision-making.
• Support consolidation and management-level reporting of significant risks, opportunities, actions and trends.
• Promote risk awareness and provide guidance and training in the use of NGS risk management methods and tools.
• Keep up to date with relevant QEHS laws, regulations, standards and other requirements.
• Support the establishment and maintenance of project-specific QEHS documentation required by customers, including Quality Plans and EHS Plans.
• Act as a key user of relevant QEHS systems and tools, including EcoOnline, SAP-QM and Root Cause Analysis tools.
• Follow up relevant compliance status, actions and issues.
• Contribute to developing a strong QEHS and continuous improvement culture within Nord Gas Solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

• Relevant higher education within quality, engineering, risk management, HSE, environmental management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Extensive relevant QEHS experience may compensate for formal education.
• Experience with practical risk and opportunity management in projects, operations, engineering or business processes.
• Good written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Experience from a similar QEHS, quality or process improvement position within an engineering, technology, manufacturing, maritime, energy or project-based organization.
• Experience in developing or improving risk management processes, methods, tools or reporting.
• Experience facilitating multidisciplinary risk and opportunity reviews.
• Understanding of the relationship between enterprise, operational, project and process risks.
• Experience supporting management-level risk reporting and follow-up.
• Internal or lead auditor qualification within one or more relevant ISO management system standards.
• Experience with nonconformity management, Root Cause Analysis and lessons learned.
• Experience using QEHS, risk management or business process management systems.
