What you'll do

We are seeking a skilled Construction Site QA/QC Engineer to ensure that all construction activities meet defined quality standards, project specifications, and Finnish regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining high-quality execution across all project phases, working closely with site management, subcontractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement site-specific Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) plans
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings and other applicable standards
  • Conduct inspections and witness tests for civil, structural, and architectural activities
  • Ensure compliance with Finnish building regulations, standards (e.g.RT, RYL), and safety requirements
  • Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and client teams
  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions
  • Maintain accurate QA/QC documentation, reports, and inspection records
  • Participate in site meetings and provide quality-related updates
  • Support handover processes, including documentation and final inspections
  • Participate in site meetings and quality-related reviews

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in construction quality assurance/control
  • Strong understanding of Finnish construction standards and quality requirements
  • Experience with inspection procedures, documentation, and audits
  • Familiarity with international standards and codes (e.g., ISO 9001, ASTM, ACI, AISC, BS, EN)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to identify risks and implement corrective actions
  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently on a construction site

Additional Information

  • Site-based role in active construction environments
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required at all times on-site
  • Start date: As soon as possible
