Senior Backend Developer (Python) Gothenburg | Permanent | (4 days onsite) A well-established Nordic digital marketplace is looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join its technology team in Gothenburg. The business combines the stability of a mature organisation with the pace and influence of a smaller company, giving engineers the opportunity to make a real impact on both technology and business outcomes. You'll join an agile development team working on core business platforms, helping drive the company's ongoing modernisation journey as it transitions from legacy systems to a cloud-native architecture built around Kubernetes and microservices. What you'll be doing

• Building and maintaining backend services in Python
• Developing integrations between internal and external systems
• Working with Kubernetes, cloud platforms and containerised applications
• Supporting the migration away from legacy systems
• Collaborating closely with product owners and business stakeholders
• Contributing to platform improvements, bug fixing and new feature development
• Taking part in technical planning and continuous improvement initiatives

What we're looking for

• 5+ years' software development experience
• Strong Python development background
• Experience with Kubernetes and microservices
• Cloud experience (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure also relevant)
• Good database knowledge, ideally PostgreSQL
• Experience working with complex or distributed systems
• Fluent Swedish, both spoken and written

Nice to have:

• React and TypeScript experience
• Exposure to enterprise system integrations
