🧬 Protein Designer | Kgs. Lyngby, Greater Copenhagen Area AffinityAI is seeking a Protein Designer to join our team in Kgs. Lyngby, in the Greater Copenhagen area. You will be joining a globally leading protein design company, working at the forefront of AI-driven biologics discovery. You will design novel binders using our computational platform and take them all the way to the bench: running our generative design models, deciding which designs are worth making, characterising them in the lab. This is a role for someone equally comfortable at a terminal and at a bench. This is a permanent, full-time, on-site role. What we're looking for We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following areas: • Computational protein design, including structural generative models such as RFdiffusion, ProteinMPNN or AlphaFold • Running and troubleshooting protein design pipelines on GPU or HPC infrastructure • Recombinant protein expression and purification • Biophysical and functional characterisation of binders, for example SPR, BLI, ELISA or flow cytometry • Binder formats such as minibinders, nanobodies or VHHs, scaffolds and antibody fragments • Molecular modelling tools such as Rosetta or PyRosetta • experience with finetuning or improvement of protein design models or filtering methods is a strong plus • Python and comfort working in a Linux environment • A solid understanding of protein biochemistry strong data science skills • A fundamental understanding of ML models for Protein Design The more of these areas you have experience in, the better. Minimum requirements for applying: • Hands-on wet lab experience with protein expression, purification and characterisation • Practical experience running computational protein design or structure prediction models • Working proficiency in Python and the command line Who you are • Enjoys the end-to-end workflow of design, experiment and model improvement • Has the judgement to decide which designs are worth taking to the bench, and the honesty to report when they fail • Thrives in a fast-paced startup research environment, where priorities may evolve • Collaborates effectively across computational and experimental teams 📍 Practical details • Location: Kgs.
