Project Manager – Electronic Systems, Steer-by-Wire

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead electronic system development for an automotive steer-by-wire system for one of our client in Gothenburg. The role requires a strong technical background in both hardware and software development, combined with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and drive delivery. Key responsibilities

• Lead electronic system development from requirements and planning through integration, verification and delivery.
• Coordinate hardware, embedded software, systems engineering and test teams.
• Manage project scope, schedules, resources, dependencies and technical risks.
• Track development progress, resolve issues and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Coordinate suppliers and ensure alignment between internal and external deliveries.
• Support technical decisions involving hardware/software interfaces and system integration.
• Ensure development activities follow applicable quality and functional safety processes.

Required experience

• Proven project-management experience in automotive electronic or embedded systems.
• Practical development experience covering both hardware and embedded software.
• Understanding of electronic control units, hardware/software interfaces and integration.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams and suppliers.
• Strong planning, risk-management, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluent English.

Meritorious

• Experience with steer-by-wire, electric power steering or other chassis control systems.
• Experience with safety-critical automotive development and ISO 26262.
• Familiarity with automotive development processes, including Automotive SPICE.
• Experience with system verification, HIL testing and production development.
