Project Manager – Data & AI

We are looking for a highly experienced Project Manager with 10+ years of expertise in delivering complex Data & AI initiatives within the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector. The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of strong project governance, deep life science domain knowledge, and hands-on familiarity with data engineering, machine learning, and AI platforms. You will lead end-to-end delivery of data transformation and AI adoption programs for pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, and health-tech organizations - on time, within scope, and with measurable business impact. Responsibilities:

• Lead Data & AI programs from discovery through delivery, hypercare, and transition to BAU, managing scope, timelines, resources, budgets ($500K–$10M+), and governance.
• Oversee data platform modernization, cloud migrations, data pipelines, and AI/ML and Generative AI solutions for Life Sciences use cases.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, traceability, and auditability in line with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and CSV/CSA requirements.
• Manage senior stakeholders, executive reporting, and cross-functional dependencies, translating technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
• Lead globally distributed teams of 10–50+ members and manage technology vendors, contracts, SLAs, and delivery performance.
• Drive risk management, quality assurance, UAT, change management, and adoption while contributing to continuous improvement and PMO best practices.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years leading Data & AI programs in Life Sciences or Healthcare, with proven delivery of large-scale initiatives.
• Experience across pharma, biotech, CRO, medtech, or health IT, with a deep understanding of the drug development lifecycle.
• Experience managing GxP-regulated projects, including CSV/CSA, IQ/OQ/PQ validation, audit trails, and 21 CFR Part 11 compliance; familiarity with platforms such as Veeva Vault, Medidata Rave, Oracle Clinical, SAS, or LIMS.
• Strong knowledge of modern data architectures, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Understanding of the AI/ML lifecycle, MLOps, Generative AI, LLMs, and RAG, with the ability to scope initiatives alongside engineering teams.
• Expertise in Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery, PMO governance, and tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and leadership skills, with experience managing global, cross-functional teams.
