What you'll do

Biodiversity created by art, culture and cross-sectoral collaboration is a cross-border collaboration project funded by Interreg Aurora. The project brings together actors from Finland and Sweden to strengthen biodiversity through art-based methods, citizen participation and cross-sectoral collaboration. Novia UAS contributes expertise in art-based and participatory methods and supports the development and piloting of new approaches to citizen engagement and cross-sectoral collaboration.

Responsibilities include

  • Coordinating and following up Novia UAS's project activities, including planning, implementation, documentation and reporting
  • Leading Novia's work on developing, testing and documenting art-based and participatory methods within the project
  • Planning and coordinating Novia's pilot activities together with relevant stakeholders
  • Contributing to research, analysis and methodological development based on the project activities and pilots
  • Supporting project partners in applying and evaluating art-based methods in different contexts
  • Participating in cross-border collaboration and knowledge exchange between Finland and Sweden
  • Building networks and collaborating with researchers, artists, municipalities, educational institutions and other relevant stakeholders
  • Communicating and disseminating project activities, methods and results

We are looking for someone who has

  • A relevant higher education degree
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in art-based methods and participatory artistic processes
  • Experience in research, RDI and methodological development
  • Experience in analysing, documenting and communicating research or development processes and results
  • An interest in sustainability, biodiversity and the role of art and culture in societal development
  • Strong organisational, communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working across disciplines, sectors and stakeholder groups
  • An ability to work independently as well as in cross-disciplinary and international teams
  • Previous experience in EU-funded projects and/or international collaboration is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in English: Swedish and Finnish considered an asset

Employment For the period 1.10.2026-28.2.2029 or as agreed.

The position is 50% of full-time working hours.

Salary according to the General collective agreement for Universities of Applied Sciences and internal directives. The position includes a probationary period of six months.

Location Jakobstad or as agreed. We offer flexible working arrangements.
