Project Engineer

Company Description. SOCIEDAD IBÉRICA DE CONSTRUCCIONES ELÉCTRICAS, S.A. (SICE) is a Spanish multinational technology company specialized in systems integration. Founded in 1921 as a General Electric company, SICE would focus on public lighting projects during its first years, only to be later acquired by SIEMENS (1960s). At this stage SICE pioneered in the Urban Traffic field, and this brought the attention of the biggest Spanish construction company at that time (DRAGADOS, 1990s). This firm would shortly after become an ACS Company, and as such, SICE nowadays belongs to the biggest private construction group in the world. In 2019 SICE opened the subsidiary SICE Nordics to run the operations in Northern Europe. SICE Nordics currently has multiple long-term ongoing contracts in Sweden and Norway, and is actively researching the market in order to increase the business volume. SICE deploys its activities on all project phases:

• Technical support (consulting, design, engineering);
• Integration (logistics, supply, installation, commissioning, testing);
• Exploitation (operation & maintenance).

Role Description. For the current job opening, we are looking for a project engineer for the Nordic division. The essential duties and responsibilities for this job are connected to the implementation of the traffic systems along different projects in Sweden.

• Assistance to project manager.
• Read and understand project documents such as plans and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, shop drawing processing etc.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.
• Represent company, project and/or department during client and project management meetings.
• Interfacing with the project team at headquarters.
• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities. This includes subcontractor planning and administration, work assignments.
• Project schedules and forecast.
• Reviewing project deliverables.
• This position might require occasional jobsite visits such as on and around roadways, under bridges, and in active construction zones.

Requirements.

• Swedish native and proficiency in English with excellent verbal & written communication skills.
• Engineering university degree.
• 3 to 5 years of provable experience in similar assignments.
• Extensive use of MS Office package.
• Good time management.
• Proactive and team player.
• Must demonstrate eligibility to work in Sweden.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: 33 000,00kr - 38 000,00kr per month Work Location: Hybrid remote in Stockholm
