What you'll do

We are looking for a project employee to work on the international Nordic Energy Capital (NEC) project from 28 September 2026 to 31 July 2027.

The project will develop an interactive web service for energy data and citizen engagement, aiming to visualise and integrate sensor data from the citys IoT platform.

The Nordic Energy Capital (NEC) project develops solutions for a sustainable energy transition and participatory urban development. The project employees role is to support the technical implementation of the energy data and citizen participation portal being developed as part of the NEC project. The work includes tasks related especially to data visualisation, user interface development, building prototypes and using different data sources.

Key tasks

  • mapping solutions for the portal
  • defining and possibly even partly developing the user interface of the interactive portal
  • defining and designing data visualisations
  • conducting studies related to the processing of geospatial, IoT and sensor data
  • assessing new technical solutions and tools for the needs of the project
  • other supporting project tasks.

Qualification requirements

  • a suitable higher education degree
  • good command of English.

We expect

  • an interest in developing online services
  • experience in energy and software engineering
  • the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment and seek new solutions to problems.

An interest in the energy transition or sustainable urban development, as well as in the development of geospatial data systems, will be considered an advantage.

The task-specific salary is €3,164.96 per month. Any applicable supplements in accordance with the municipal collective agreement KVTES will also be paid.

The trial period is five months.

The interviews are scheduled to take place 21 September and 22 September.
