Production & Technical Manager
Do you combine strong technical expertise with a hands-on understanding of production, and would you like to help optimize operations and increase productivity in a manufacturing company?
At Baltic Packaging ApS, we are looking for a dedicated and technically strong Production & Technical Manager for a key role at our factory in Kastrup. You will work closely with both production and technical operations, helping to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production. You will also serve as an important link between Production, Engineering, Sales, and R&D, with responsibility for uptime, continuous improvement, technical projects, documentation, and spare parts management. As you grow into the role, there is a clear perspective to take on direct leadership responsibility for the Production and Technical teams.
About the Job and Your Responsibilities
As Production & Technical Manager, you will initially focus on coordinating and developing our production and technical operations. You will set priorities together with the relevant teams, follow up on performance, and ensure effective collaboration across the organization. Working closely with the site management and other functions, you will play a key role in developing our production setup and technical capabilities, with the opportunity to take on direct personnel responsibility over time.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Production Coordination & Continuous Improvement: You will support and coordinate the daily performance of production, with a focus on productivity, quality, uptime, and resource utilization. You will identify bottlenecks, drive structured improvements, and ensure sustainable productivity gains together with the production team.
- Technical Operations, Maintenance & Procurement: You will coordinate technical activities and support a reliable technical setup and effective maintenance of our production equipment. This includes prioritizing technical tasks, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, managing critical spare parts and procurement, and supporting high machine availability. You will also oversee the administration of our UN approvals.
- Quality, Safety & Claims: You will ensure high standards for machine safety, occupational safety, and good order in the workshop and production areas. You will support root-cause analyses and corrective actions related to quality issues and customer claims and contribute technical expertise regarding our products and production processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration & Future Leadership: You will initially focus on coordinating and developing our Production and Technical Operations without direct personnel responsibility. You will be the primary technical and production contact for Sales and R&D and work closely with the management team on capacity, investments, budgets, and the further development of the site. As you grow into the role, there is a clear perspective to take on direct management responsibility for the Production and Technical teams.
Who Are You?
- Professional Background: You have a relevant technical education (e.g., Industrial/Mechanical Engineer, Production Technologist, or a strong practical technical background) combined with experience from a manufacturing environment. Experience with production, maintenance, technical project management, or coordinating technical teams is highly valued.
- Structured, Hands-On & Solution-Oriented: You are comfortable balancing daily operational priorities with longer-term improvement projects. You can make decisions, prioritize time-critical issues, and work systematically with documentation, follow-up, and continuous improvement.
- Strong Collaboration Skills & Leadership Potential: You are comfortable working close to the shop floor while also communicating effectively with administrative and commercial functions. You take ownership, set clear priorities, and create strong collaboration across disciplines. You have the motivation and potential to develop into direct personnel and leadership responsibility over time.
- Languages: You are fluent in both spoken and written Danish and English. German is a plus.
What We Offer
- A key position with significant influence on production performance, technical development, and the future setup of our Kastrup site, including a clear opportunity to grow into direct leadership responsibility.
- An informal and hands-on work environment with skilled colleagues, short decision-making paths, and a high degree of responsibility and autonomy.
- Attractive employment terms and salary matching your qualifications.
