Role snapshot
Location: Stavanger, Norway Reports to: Head of Product Portfolio Management Language Requirements: English The Opportunity At Easee, we're building technology that makes electrification effortless. Our products are used across Europe, and our success depends on attracting people who share our ambition, curiosity, and commitment to great results. As our Product Manager, Energy Management, you'll play a key role in giving Easee's energy-management hardware portfolio, including the Equalizer products, accessories, and add-ons, clear end-to-end ownership. This is a new position, created to turn energy management from something that mainly helps sell chargers into a portfolio that creates value in its own right. Working closely with Engineering (embedded, apps, platform and cloud, hardware), Energy Services, Commercial, Product Marketing, Operations, and the leadership team, you'll own the strategy, business case, and roadmap, and see products through discovery, launch, and phase-out. It's a chance to dive deep into customer and installer needs, hardware economics, and Europe's evolving energy market. What's in it for you - Take part in shaping Easee's energy-management offering, working alongside some of the experts behind one of the world's best-selling EV chargers - Real ownership of a portfolio from strategy and commercial case through to field performance - Collaboration with CEO and leadership team for strategy input and portfolio decisions - A chance to define how Easee connects EV charging with local generation, storage, and the wider energy ecosystem Core Outcomes Short-term - You've established a clear strategy, value proposition, roadmap, and performance baseline for the energy-management hardware portfolio - You've identified and begun closing the most important product, installation, reliability, and ecosystem gaps for priority residential (SDU) and apartment-block/commercial (MDU) use cases - You've created a coherent end-to-end proposition across hardware, firmware, software experience, installation, compatibility, support, and commercial positioning - You've shown measurable improvement in customer, installer, product, and commercial outcomes - You're delivering a recognisable Easee experience in energy management: simple to install, intuitive to use, reliable in operation, and smart in how it manages energy Long-term - Easee's energy-management products stand as value-creating products in their own right, not only as charger-sales enablers - You've validated commercial models that capture part of the customer value created, where there is evidence of willingness to pay - The offering is more intelligent and automated, so customers can lower costs, make better use of local energy, or manage capacity with minimal effort - The portfolio is a scalable, interoperable part of the wider energy ecosystem, connecting EV charging with controllable loads, local generation, storage, energy services, and third-party platforms - Compatibility extends beyond Easee hardware where it creates meaningful customer value What you need to bring along - Industry experience in hardware products, ideally with software and in the energy or EV space (energy-management experience is a plus) - Experience in market research and voice-of-customer work, turning customer and installer needs into clear requirements, business cases, and roadmaps - Ability to weigh trade-offs across customer value, cost, quality, and time, and to influence teams you don't directly manage - Experience managing suppliers - A relevant degree in engineering, technology, or business. Relevant hands-on experience can compensate for formal education. Interview Process - (30m) Recruiter Screen - (30m) Hiring Manager Screen - (60m) Hands-On Challenge and Technical Deep Dive - (30m) CEO and Leadership Conversations We request two professional references in our final round. We may conduct background checks if necessary. Who we are Easee is a Norwegian technology company with a clear purpose: Effortless Electrification for All.
