What you'll do

Turn trends into products. Ideas into opportunities. At Flying Tiger Copenhagen, great products can start with just about anything. A cultural moment. A scroll-stopping trend. An unexpected collaboration. A clever idea that makes everyday life a little more fun. Now we’re looking for a Product Development Manager who knows how to spot those opportunities and turn them into products our customers will want to pick up, talk about and take home. You’ll be at the front end of our product creation, shaping our innovation pipeline, spotting trends and viral opportunities, exploring regional assortment opportunities and bringing exciting collaborations to life. And you won’t do it alone. You’ll lead and develop a small team of two Product Developers, helping them turn curiosity and creativity into great products and strong commercial results. This is the job You’ll keep your finger firmly on the pulse of what’s happening out there. On social platforms, in culture, across categories, in local markets and wherever the next big idea might be hiding. You’ll turn those signals into a strong innovation roadmap and commercially viable concepts that fit the Flying Tiger Copenhagen universe. Along the way, you’ll:

  • Build and drive our innovation pipeline, from new formats and whitespace opportunities to viral product ideas.
  • Spot cultural and social trends and translate them into products people want to buy.
  • Lead exciting collaborations with partners, licensors, influencers and cultural institutions from idea to launch.
  • Explore regional opportunities and adapt concepts to local markets while keeping a strong global brand expression.
  • Turn ideas into clear product briefs covering everything from target customer and aesthetics to functionality and price point.
  • Work closely with Design, Buying, Franchise teams and suppliers to move quickly from idea to prototype to product.
  • Balance creative ambition with commercial reality, including pricing, cost engineering and margin targets.
  • Drive cross-functional reviews and ensure concepts make it successfully through development, risk assessment and compliance.
  • Follow the performance of new launches, learn from the results and use those insights to make the next idea even better.
  • Lead, coach and develop two Product Developers on different levels, giving them the direction, feedback and space they need to grow and succeed.

This is you You’re naturally curious about what’s next, but you have an equally sound interest in whether it will actually work. You can spot the difference between a fleeting piece of noise and an opportunity with real commercial potential. And when you see something good, you know how to bring people together and make it happen. We imagine you bring:

  • Solid product development experience from lifestyle, home or consumer goods.
  • A strong instinct for turning cultural and social trends into tangible product ideas.
  • Experience with collaborations, licensing, partnerships or influencer-led products.
  • Good commercial understanding of cost, pricing and margin.
  • A test-and-learn mindset and the confidence to make decisions in a fast-moving environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and a talent for getting different functions moving in the same direction.
  • An understanding of regional retail differences and, ideally, franchise models.
  • Proven leadership experience and a genuine interest in coaching and developing others.

Most importantly, you combine commercial thinking with creative curiosity. You’re excited by possibilities, comfortable with pace and not afraid to ask: Could we turn that into a product? Join us If you get a little thrill from spotting something before everyone else does, love seeing an idea turn into a real product and enjoy creating results through others, this could be just the role for you. And further, we offer:

  • A fantastic central Copenhagen location.
  • Attractive pension scheme.
  • Private health insurance (including children).
  • Flexible working, including the option to work from home.
  • A fun, social, and dynamic culture.
  • Events, Friday bars, staff clubs, and more.
  • An international workplace rooted in Scandinavian values.
  • Daily restaurant-quality food.
  • …and much more.

So come help us find the next unexpected thing customers didn’t know they needed. We can’t wait to hear what you’ll bring to the table. Did you know? We take climate action seriously and work continuously to reduce our carbon footprint. This includes shifting from plastic to renewable materials and ensuring our stores run on renewable energy. Our efforts are validated by external experts through the Science Based Targets initiative. Learn more about our sustainability work here: https://flyingtiger.com/en-de/pages/sustainability
