At Kongsberg Discovery, we are looking for a Product Advisor to join our growing Vessel Robotics product team. You will contribute to the development of next-generation autonomous underwater robotic solutions for some of the world’s most demanding maritime environments. Working closely with our strategic partner Jotun and highly skilled engineering teams, you will help create technologies that support more sustainable and efficient vessel operations. This is an opportunity to influence products throughout their lifecycle, from concept development and system design to deployment, operation, and continuous improvement. You will help shape future capabilities while ensuring our solutions continue to meet operational, customer, and market needs. Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. What you will be doing As a Product Advisor you will combine technical understanding, business insight, and an operator-focused perspective to develop solutions that deliver measurable value. You will act as a link between operators, development teams, and commercial stakeholders.

  • Support the development and continuous evolution of autonomous underwater robotic products.
  • Work closely with the Product Manager and Jotun to define, maintain, and refine product and system requirements.
  • Translate operational, customer, and market needs into clear product and system requirements.
  • Contribute to systems engineering activities, product innovation, and capability optimization throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Take ownership of one or more projects and product-related activities.
  • Participate in technical verification and product system validation.
  • Travel when required for verification activities, system validation, and relevant conferences.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Cybernetics, Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant experience may compensate for formal education.
  • Experience in product development, technology development, or a related technical environment.
  • Strong technical understanding and the ability to work effectively across disciplines.
  • Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English.
  • A genuine interest in turning technology into value for customers and operators.
  • Experience from the maritime industry. This is beneficial, but not required.
